Vision Statement
The Australian School of the Arts (ASTA) program is an audition based specialist program that provides an unparalleled Arts education for bright and talented young students. Through the provision of innovative and creative courses and an uncompromised high quality academic education, students become equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to follow their chosen pathways into Arts industries or tertiary institutions.
The ASTA program creates and nurtures resilient, confident, creative, passionate and compassionate individuals. These young people have the unique opportunity to marry their love for and talent in the Arts, with a regular Academic program, which will still qualify them for an OP score.
In order to meet ASTA’s dedication to becoming an unparalleled institution for the education and training of young artists, students also have the opportunity to work with specialist teachers and tertiary and industry experienced artists. This program runs within the College curriculum and value adds to the current Arts subjects offered at Sheldon College.
